Our society has undergone many changes in recent years, including a declining birth rate, an aging population, climate issues, and the everyday use of AI. Amid these shifts, addressing the challenges in the urban architectural environment cannot be achieved through a single traditional discipline or specific specialty. A multidisciplinary approach that crosses academic boundaries is essential for overcoming these problems.

The Architecture and Urban Research Institute (AURI) has sought to create better living places through comprehensive research on architecture and urban spaces. AURI will now make more effort to enhance competitiveness by concentrating on growth-oriented research areas and strengthening its core research functions.

In addition, the AURI will conduct user-friendly research and explore ways to promote our findings further. To this end, we will build upon more purpose-driven research to enhance the practicality and applicability of our research findings and effectively support government policies by becoming a leader in architectural space research.
